This short is from the "Speaking of Animals" series. The series, which featured live action footage of animals with animated mouths allowing the animals to talk, was created by famed animator Tex Avery. It was produced by Jerry Fairbanks, who would later produce Crusader Rabbit.
In this entry, monkeys perform a western satire. When Little Orphan Fannie is threatened with foreclosure by Dirty Dawson, the Lone Stranger comes to her rescue. The Lone Stranger rides a fawn Great Dane.
