Based on the comic strip created by Brad Anderson in 1954.
The movie follows the Great Dane and his family as they move from the country to trendy Orange County. Unlike the comic strip, Marmaduke, and the other animals talk via cgi.
The adult Marmaduke is played by two brothers, George and Spirit, of Daynakin Great Danes.
